In 2010, I entered the Rhine-Main real estate market as a complete career changer. What followed were ten exceptionally good years: around 60 multi-family homes sold, a household name in Frankfurt, and building my own portfolio during the best interest rate phase one could wish for.

Then came Corona — the first tear. We spent the first lockdown in Dubai, and that's where the idea of starting over somewhere completely different came up for the first time. This was followed by the war in Ukraine, inflation, energy prices, rising interest rates, and a market that collapsed. At some point it became clear: we no longer wanted resistance, but perspective.

The search led via Spain and Dubai finally to Cyprus. In 2025, first on vacation, shortly afterwards with a concrete project in Paphos — and the decision was made within a few weeks. A sprawling city in a development boom, a diamond in the rough.

Today we live here, have built a house, and run our own real estate company as well as two of our own construction projects from Paphos. We know both sides: German standards and the Cypriot market.
